Friends of Knockahollet P.S.

To all past and present Parents, Friends, Pupils, Staff and Governors of Knockahollet Primary School.

At a recent Board of Governors Meeting held in June, it was unanimously agreed that Knockahollet PS should start up a Friends of Knockahollet PS group, whose aim would be;

To support the education of our current and future pupils.

To enhance our school environment.

To further promote and develop our Knockahollet School community.

The core objectives of the group are to;

  • initiate, oversee and promote fund-raising activities to help the School's development in both curricular resources and extra-curricular activities;

  • engage in activities or provide facilities which support the School and advance the education of the students and the wider school community;

  • provide opportunities for social and professional contact among members;

  • broaden the School's ties throughout the local community.

Knockahollet Primary School has a long and rich tradition of providing quality education to the young people of the area dating back to 1886 when the school was first opened. As such, it has been a constant within the community, serving as an important focal point for many in the area and beyond.

With such a long history of supporting our young people behind it, Governors of the school wish to give the community, both past and present, an opportunity to engage with us and to consider giving something to today’s generation of Knockahollet pupils by making a financial commitment to support the above objectives.

Membership of our group will not be limited to current families but we are extending the invitation to anyone who has had a connection with our school, so please spread the news to anyone you know.

If you would like to make a financial contribution or set up a direct debit standing order to the Friends of Knockahollet PS, please email Mr. Ivor Robinson for information at ivorhrobinson@gmail.com

Thank you in anticipation.

Regards,

Board of Governors at Knockahollet PS.
